What is SPMCIL ?
The Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited (SPMCIL), a Miniratna Category-I Central Public Sector Enterprise Company, wholly owned by the Government of India, was established on January 13, 2006, under the Companies Act, 1956, with the purpose of designing, manufacturing/printing security documents, currency and bank notes, non-judicial stamp papers, minting of coins, postage stamps, etc. The India Govt. Mint, Mumbai is one of the nine units under SPMCIL.

Essential requirements:
Educational Qualification:
- Engraver (Metal Works) – Bachelor of Fine Arts (Metal Works) with 55% marks.
- Junior Office Assistant (Hindi) – Graduate with at least 55% marks and computer knowledge with typing speed in Hindi @30wpm.
Age Limit:
- Minimum Age should be 18 Years and Maximum Age 28 Years As of 04.12.2022

- Rs.23910/- – 85570/- in IDA Pattern of Pay Scale
- Junior Office Assistant (Hindi)
- Rs.21540/- – 77160/- in IDA Pattern of Pay Scale
HOW TO APPLY?
Applicants to visit India Government Mint, Mumbai’s website www.igmmumbai.spmcil.com and open the
online application link Apply Online for filling the Online Application Form.
- To register application, choose the tab “Click here for New Registration” and enter Name, Contact details and Email ID. A provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Applicant should note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password. A valid Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent.
- In case the applicant is unable to complete the application form in one go, he/she can save the data already entered by choosing “SAVE AND NEXT” tab. Prior to submission of the online application applicants are advised to use the “SAVE AND NEXT” facility to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required.
- Applicants are advised to carefully fill and verify the details filled in the online application themselves as no change will be possible/ entertained after clicking the “COMPLETE REGISTRATION” BUTTON.
- The Name of the applicant or his/her Father/Husband etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the Certificates/ Mark sheets/ Identity Proof. Any change/ alteration found may disqualify the candidature.
- Validate your details and Save your application by clicking the ‘Validate your details’ and ‘Save & Next’ button.
- Applicants can proceed to upload Photo & Signature as per the specifications given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of Photograph and Signature.
- Applicants can proceed to fill other details of the Application Form.
- Click on the Preview Tab to preview and verify the entire application form before “COMPLETE REGISTRATION”.
- Modify details, if required, and click on “COMPLETE REGISTRATION” only after verifying and ensuring that the photograph, signature uploaded and other details filled by you are correct.
- Click on ‘Payment’ Tab and proceed for payment.
- Click on ‘Submit’ button.
Selection Process:
- For of Jr. Office Assistant (Hindi) at B-3 Level, Hindi typing (Hindi @30 wpm) test will be conducted.
- Those candidates who qualify in Hindi Typing Test (Hindi @30 wpm) on Computer will be called for online Written Test.
- Selection to the posts of Engraver (Metal Works), B-4 Level will be done on the basis of Online examination and will be of objective Type.
- Total marks of the online test will be 125. There will be no negative marking for Online examination. The duration of the examination is 02 hour.
Application Fee:
- Registration charges of Rs. 600/- (including GST) for candidates belonging to UR/ OBC/ EWS category and
- No Application fees is required to be paid by SC/ST/PWD candidate but Intimation charges of Rs. 200/- (including GST) is to be paid by candidates belonging to SC / ST /PWD category for each posts.
